Harbor Bridge NYE Celebration

The Fireworks Celebration at Sydney Harbor Is a Magical Celebration. The City erupts with light and sound and for most of the world Sydney kicks off the worlds celebration of the new year. After Some Careful Negotiation of public transit we found out self at Milton's Point with an unobstructed view of the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House. As the clock struck twelve the Sydney skyline came to life and we were in the middle of it all. Thank you Sydney for making NYE 2010 a moment that I will remember forever.

On
holiday
in Sydney:
A recent Typhoon
in the center of Australia
has brought a slight rain to
the streets of Sydney. No worries
My friend Lucas & I made the most of
the unfortunate weather by heading out
on the town and discovering some of the
wonderful sights and sounds of Sydney
Christmas Eve started out with a walk to
Bondi Beach about 5 km. north of our cozy
beach town of Coogee. We had a snack and
sat under a tree and read our Chuck Panahniuk
Novels. After a while Lucas joined some people in
a game of football and I walked down to the skate park
where i met up with some locals bmxers who were happy
to let me have a ride. After a couple of airs and some wicked manuals
we headed back to Coogee for some dinner. After slamming some "goone"
cheep wine with orange juice we headed out to the Coogee bay hotel for some mixing it up with the locals.
we discovered a club that
was jumpin' so we laced up
our dancing shoes and made
quite a spectacle with our hip
hop moves. Around 4 am we
dragged out tired bodies back
to the Grand Pacific Private
Hotel and called it a night.

Mt Maunganui New Zealand

Hello all Mt Maunganui is this little coastal penensula just outside of Tauranga on the East Coast Of New Zealand. This place is a tropical paradise. Me and my crew of travelers has been taken in by some of the locals and we have had a blast together. BBQ's joking around and hanging on the beach. Tomorrow I head off to Auckland to get on a plane bound for sydney. Looking foreword to settling down and looking for work in Sydney.

I met these guys from New Hampshire and Vermont at the airport. They were walking around aimlessly so I asked if they wanted to share a shuttle to Downtown Auckland. We ended up at the Freeman Lodge sharing a room. Good guys we cruised through downtown and ended up getting buss tickets to Raglan on the west coast. We then went to a free think concert in the park. Here is a little into video we made near the Auckland Harbor.

final preperations complete

The last step before heading out on this journey was to take my motorcycle test. With out a moment to spare two days before heading out, I rented a Kawasaki 250 and charmed my way into the Walnut Creek DMV. Three hours and 1 Philly Cheese Steak later I passed my Test with flying colors. The lady even wrote good job on my score card. I'm not sure if she passed me cause I'm a really good driver or because it was her last day working at the DMV. Either way all my paperwork is in order and I'm all set to ride up the coast of Australia.
